Why Choose In-Person Mediation?

Why Choose Mediation in Boise with PivotPoint Resolutions™?

Most of this process works just as well over video, and plenty of the couples I work with never set foot in Idaho. But when both of you can be in the same room, a few things get easier.

Here is what changes when we sit down together at my downtown Boise office.

  • I can read the room. Body language, a long pause, the moment someone stops listening. Those tell me when to slow down or call a break.

  • It is harder to walk away. Ending a difficult conversation is a bigger decision when you are in a room together than when you can close a laptop.

  • 2 hours with nothing else pulling No notifications, no one else in the house, no temptation to answer email while the other person is talking.
  • Papers on the table. Account statements, a parenting calendar, a list of what goes where. Spreading it all out moves faster than screen sharing.

  • I can hold the balance. If one of you tends to fill the silence, that is easier for me to manage in person.

Step 1: Free 30-minute consultation

We talk through your situation and I explain how the process runs. There is no charge and no obligation. Start separately or together — both are normal. That first conversation is where I learn your situation.

Step 2: You gather your paperwork

I send you a clear list: income, accounts, debts, property, retirement. You'll upload them to the secure portal. Couples who arrive prepared move through mediation more smoothly.

Step 3: Sessions at the office,

2 hours at a time

We meet at my office on W. Main Street in Boise. I explain how the it works and guide you through all topics in an order that makes sense for your family. I keep the conversation moving and ensure both of you are being heard.

Step 4: Your Memorandum of Understanding

I write your mutual agreements all up in plain language. This is the document that records what the two of you decided, ready for your signatures and filing with the court.

Testimonials

What Clients Are Saying

Divorce is deeply personal, and we take our clients’ privacy seriously. Some clients have generously chosen to share their experiences publicly, while others prefer to remain private. We also share real, anonymized messages and emails from clients — always with their permission.

The mediation process went very smoothly, was cost effective and efficient.   Beth was extremely professional, respectful, and caring.  She did an amazing job supporting me and my husband through a difficult life changing process.  The sessions were well organized and easy to understand.   I would recommend to anyone seeking mediation.
