Meet Beth, Your Online Mediator
Choosing who guides you through your divorce is personal. Watch this short introduction to see how I work, what to expect, and whether mediation feels right for you.
Online Mediation Services
Divorce mediation is the core of my practice. I also mediate custody modifications and post-divorce questions, all of which work over video.

Meet Your Mediator
Divorce is overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone. I'm Beth Carrier, a Certified Professional Mediator based in Boise, Idaho. I earned my CPM through the Idaho Mediation Association, I belong to the Association for Conflict Resolution, and I sit on the Idaho Supreme Court child custody roster.
I am not an attorney and I do not give legal advice. Mediation is the only work I do. At PivotPoint Resolutions, I mediate divorce in person at my downtown Boise office and online across the country, along with custody modifications and post-divorce questions. My approach is straightforward and compassionate, helping you protect what matters most: your children, your future, and your peace of mind.

Why Choose Online Mediation?
Why Choose Online Mediation with PivotPoint Resolutions™?
There is real value in being in the same room, and when possible, I consider in-person mediation the gold standard. But for many couples, that simply isn’t an option.
Here is what video actually makes easier.
-
You do not have to be in the same room. Separate homes, separate cities, separate states. Many couples join from their own screens.
-
Scheduling stops being the obstacle. Evenings work. Split time zones work. No one takes a day off.
-
No need to visit a mediation office in your own community. For couples who value privacy and discretion, that can be an important benefit.
No travel, no sitter, no time off work. The cost of getting there stops being part of the decision.
-
Distance can lower the temperature. Some couples find it easier to stay calm when they are not managing each other's body language across a table.
Online mediation compared
with a litigated divorce
Litigated divorce | Online mediation | |
|---|---|---|
Where it happens | Your county courthouse | Anywhere with a private room and a connection |
Who decides | A judge | The two of you |
Professionals involved | Two attorneys, plus experts | One neutral mediator |
Cost | Billable hours on both sides | Flat fee, known upfront |
Scheduling | The court's calendar | Evenings and split time zones both work |
Privacy | Public record | Confidential |
Travel | Repeated in-person appearances | None |
What Working Together Online Looks Like
Step 1: Free 30-minute consultation
30 minutes by video, no charge, no obligation. Start separately or together — both are normal. That first conversation is where I learn your situation and explain how mediation works.
Step 2: You gather your paperwork
Income, accounts, debts, property, retirement. I will send you the list before we meet, so our time is spent on making agreements, not hunting for documents.
Step 3: Online sessions,
2 hours at a time
2 hours at a time I guide you throught the topics: the parenting schedule, the house, support, taxes. Just like we do with in-person meetings
Step 4: Your Memorandum of Understanding
I write up all the agreements the two of you make in plain language, ready for your signatures and filing with the court.
What Clients Are Saying
Divorce is deeply personal, and we take our clients’ privacy seriously. Some clients have generously chosen to share their experiences publicly, while others prefer to remain private. We also share real, anonymized messages and emails from clients — always with their permission.
